It turns out my power didn't go out and instead of the winds getting even worse by daybreak, they actually calmed and stayed that way!!! This is not what the model guidance showed (except mesoscale models like the HRRR, NAM, etc.). What a bummer, nothing much happened and didn't even exceed winds that I got after some of those huge tornado outbreaks from early this year (the lows giving me those winds after the outbreak). My only high winds come from winter events like LES and winter storms but since winter is becoming a thing of the past here in general we aren't getting those really anymore. I really thought this could be my windstorm (first real one in decades) for the fall to rivial those from early years that are the tale of older generations. When will one finally happen?
