Ups and downs of a Texas Fall/Winter.....(?)

#1 Postby Johnny » Mon Oct 27, 2003 11:13 am

Well, Southeast, Texas at least. I've live here my entire life and have been paying attention to the weather at a very early age. The winter's down here in Southeast, Texas can go from one extreme to another in a matter of days. I remember fronts coming through and dropping the overnight low's into the 30's and 3 days later the overnight low's are in the mid to upper 50's. During fall and winter months the temperature flucuates so much that it is very hard to get a week's worth of nice cold air to stay in place. This front that just came through is a good example. It wasn't a very cold front but yesterday it did not get out of the 50's with a nice stiff breeze blowing all day. It felt like fall but it will be short lived. After reading the extended forecast very warm temperatures will start cranking out again as the week wears on. Yuck!!! I wonder why everyone stays sick in Southeast, Texas!

My question is.....when will the next front be felt down this way?

Next front won't be coming until at least next week, it's gonna warm up fast... :(

No kidding, the temps here will reach the 80s by mid week.

It could stay warm well into November too, the huge trough that will be shaping up in the west looks like it will stick around for a while.
