Severe Weather Alert from the National Weather Service

...IN SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY THIS WATCH INCLUDES 8 COUNTIES... SALEM... CUMBERLAND... CAMDEN... GLOUCESTER... CAPE MAY... OCEAN... ATLANTIC AND BURLINGTON
... AND ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS AND THE DELAWARE BAY.


A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR TORNADOES IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS....

FORTUNATELY -

There was no severe weather, but it was white-knuckle driving going home! The rain and wind was so storng at one point, it was like driving during a blizzard where you could barely make out the tail lights of the car infront of you! :eek:

We had also lost power for a little while this afternoon due to the wind.

Yes, Stephanie - no severe weather in my area either. But lots of rain and some gusty winds that blew my recycling bin about 200 yards down the street. I think my area picked up about 2 inches of rain.
