I’m no forecaster but when you’re getting up near double digit warnings, there really should have been a watch issued.

That's the nature of dryline setups. They can be feast or famine, and it's hard to predict which until actual activity is well underway.

Much cooler today more like it. Rooting for the southern tier of the state they need the rain badly. The rest of us will have to wait for the seasonal gradient to shift north with qpf, probably later in April and May.

Without having the numbers in front of me, seems this could be a top 10 warmest Marches. The airport received about a third of an inch of rain yesterday. Hopefully we get closer to the monthly rain average later this week before April starts.

Too bad the maxima isn't about 250 mi NW, but still great news if it verifies.

Might see the heavy rain fall threat extend into saturday on some of the latest mesoscale guidances coming in, slower moving upper level storm system still over central texas early saturday on some guidance, additional really heavy waves of rain for south, central and se texas, flooding threat could become more of a concern inland by late thursday

Did squeak by another 80*F today at DFW despite the cloud cover.

Leaves are popping everywhere.

Overachieved a few degrees today, also eeking out another high of 80*F.

Some isolated convection looks to be moving into DFW from the SE.

Like I said before, I wish the maxima of this event was about 250 mi NW...but we will take any help we can get down here.

Off Topic Question:

Trying to put something together for my 10 yr anniversary and I am looking for the exact weather numbers in Dallas on 3/28/15. On Noaa.gov, I am not really getting the numbers I expected. Can someone help me out please?

Yeah today so far has largely been disappointing as the bulk of the heavier rainfall has been confined to the coastal areas and down into the LRGV as some models indicated in the lead up to this event. Atmosphere is pretty stable with temps stuck in the 60's didn't help our cause either.

Having said that, a good portion of the area has received 1-2 inches with some isolated higher totals in a few locations. One thing I'm watching on radar is a blob of heavier rain near Eagle Pass. Hopefully that will move further NE and provide some additional rainfall this evening/overnight before the system begins to clear the area tomorrow.
