Not a turkey breast...a turkey BUST here

#1 Postby Scott_inVA » Fri Nov 28, 2003 8:13 am

Well, the 6Z runs continue the flip and make this a Thanksgiving bust forecast in the east. Watching Radar, WVL and the 0Z runs last night I was choking on my apple pie saying this is over before beginning in the Mid-Atlantic. Convection along the Gulf juiced out much of the precip overnight and now the embarrassing task of pulling down a flood watch 8 hours early, revising forecasts from 1-3" RA to .25 - .50".

My timing has been horrendously bad with this event... and I intentionally went slower than models and most ZFPs around here. I'm hoping this does deepen over Upstate NY and gets wind and some snow into the mountains here or this will be a total bust. Hope this hairball forecast isn't a sign for the coming winter.
