I'm going to "Basic" training on March 10 here in Evansville.
Can't wait!!!
Anyone taking the Advanced training this year?
How many of you are doing SKYWARN classes this year?

As a NWS employee, I can say that a lot of the offices have started combining the basic and advanced storm spotter classes into one. Actually, I just got back from a spotter class this evening and the people that attended actually enjoyed the new combined class.
I am sure there are plenty of offices out there that still do the seperate basic and advanced classes. If you have questions about it, your local WCM (Warning Coordinating Meteorologist) will be able to help you out.
