State of Florida tornado drill

#1 Postby Josephine96 » Fri Feb 27, 2004 8:55 am

The state of Florida tornado drill is just moments away... I remember having to take part in these during my HS years and they brought back bad memories to the 1998 twisters.

Good luck to all those participating {even if none of them are from S2K lol}

Does your college take part? Ours never does. But we have tornado siren testing once a month. That might be why. ;)

Hey Garett.. I think the college did take part in it this morning..

Also.. Look at how many counties were in that warning.. Can you ever imagine what it would be like if there were that many warnings at the same time..? :eek:

According the National Weather Service in Melbourne, FL (who covers Brevard, Indian River, Lake, Martin, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Saint Lucie and Volusia counties) recommend all schools, businesses and residents to take part in the drill.

I wasn't up between 9:00 am and 10:45 am, which is typical.
