There is a chance for severe weather......

#1 Postby Guest » Thu Mar 18, 2004 8:00 pm

Across Northeastern Texas, Eastern Oklahoma, Southeastern Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, and Northern Louisana.
A Cold front will be dropping through the area while at the sametime with the associated low pressure, a warm front will be lifting northward through the Mid-Mississippi River Valley. With a strong southerly component of the wind field, and a rapid desent of the cold front through this area, severe weather is likely late Saturday and into the evening.
This will move into the Missouri River valley, and further northeast and east as the accompanied coldfront drops south and southeast. Areas further east such as Southern Illinois, Indiana, and the Tennessee River Valley could see some of these severe storms later in the evening hours Saturday into Sunday morning.
Please be aware of approaching weather, and stay tuned to your local weather outlets for more information.

We may have to roll out the S2K storm watchers again!!! When last May's outbreak happened we had multiple people watching radars, iming from those in the midst etc. and doing our best to keep everyone abreast of what was going on. Fortunately everyone came out ok even though it took us a few days to find out for sure about some who lost power due to tornados dancing around their communities.

late this Friday evening. Taking my daughter to the Cinderella Ball!!!
I will check in Friday evening when I get back, and will post an update.
I should be on and off line during the day Saturday, so I'll try to keep abreast of the situation if it does develop.
