St Peter, MN tornado pictures

Here we see a more complete picture of the storm. The F4 tornado that destroyed Comfrey was making a beeline for the little town of Nicollet. Luckily, the tornado lost its moist inflow about 4 miles east of Courtland in southwest Nicollet County. A new tornado rated F3 developed 2 miles east of Nicollet and remaned on the ground for 18 miles, making a direct hit on the town of St Peter. Another weak regeneration of the F3 tornado then occurred farther east in Le Sueur County which proceeded to damage many businesses in the southern part of the town of Le Center. Fifteen mobile homes were destroyed and many businesses in the southern part of the town of Le Center were damaged.
