Little Heat
We don't have enough heat for anything too spectactular. Temps here (24mi. South of Raleigh) are in the upper 60's. Good thing is that the atmosphere is unstable, not majorally but it's a good start.
Here's the current data from my station...
Temp: Dewpont: Baro: Wind/Dir.: Hum:
69.7 65.8 29.60F 1.7mph/South 89%

SPC issues a TORNADO WATCH FOR EASTERN NC.......
Very smart move on there part after looking at data..........very strong wind fields with slight veering wind profiles (might be a little premature of me to say bow-echo) but with the strong deep layer shear,,,,(0-6km shear 30-50KTS,,,,,,BRN,,,40-60m^2/s^2.........strong low level stretchiing comined with the strong low level storm inflow (0-2km SRW,,,15-20KTS).....two big things that stand out are the 3km VGP (.3m^2/s^2) and the 3km EHI (3-5j/kg).......damaging winds.....large hail 1.50-2.50" diameter,,,,,damaging winds (conditionally unstable lapse rates,,,,straight line winds possible) and iso. tornadoes......stay safe along the Coast,,,,SPC meso disc mentioned rotating storms off shore.

well, it tried to pop a few storms here in hampton roads.. but there was a south east wind at the surface and with shelf water temps below average, some 4 degrees or so, they pretty much didnt have a chance... it warmed up a good deal though... we went from upeer 40's low 50's this morning on the way to work at 5:50 to over 70 right now... very warm and moist, however, to late... ohh and the sun came out too... great... just in time for darkness to set in.. lol.. typical...
