First Rain Since April 3rd

#1 Postby azskyman » Wed Jul 14, 2004 7:38 am

We've gone more than 14 weeks without measureable rain here at my backyard weather station. Last rainfall was .03" on April 3rd. It is now July 13th, and we have a dicey monsoon thunderstorm, the first of the year. Rainfall totalled .92" as the storm peaked just before the bewitching hour! Some flash flooding and tree damage in areas west and southwest of town.

KEWL! NOW......send some of that *rain* MY way would ya? I saw on the news yesterday morning that the Offical rainfall for Scottsdale was 1.54", so far, this monsoon season has been, what some would call (me), a BUST! We've had a total of 1.21" thus far....the cells are hitting the Rim and then SHEAR off, break appart and simply, "GO AROUND!"
