Truely abnormal pattern for this time of year. All the smoke from Alaskan fires is being driven down the back side of the massive E trough all the way to Houston. This is crazy!

Finally its Noticed
Houston-Galveston AFD
THE LAST FEW VISIBLE IMAGES WITH A LOW SUN ANGLE AND ENHANCEMENT
INDICATING WHAT LOOKS LIKE A LARGE PLUME OF SMOKE TRAVELING SOUTH
FROM EASTERN IOWA THROUGH WESTERN ARKANSAS AND INTO SOUTHEAST TEXAS...
THIS MAY HAVE ORIGINATED FROM LARGE WILDFIRES IN WASHINGTON-OREGON
AND PERHAPS EVEN CALIFORNIA AND IS BEING CIRCULATED AROUND THE LARGE
WESTERN ANTI-CYCLONE. STILL EXPECT THE SKIES TO CLEAR OUT BUT IT
MAY MAKE FOR SOME PRETTY RED SUNSETS AND SUNRISES THE NEXT FEW DAYS.
