We have 2.8 inches storm total here in Costa Mesa with it still raining. We had one thunderstorm blow through an hour or so ago and another one is coming as I type. May have to get off if it gets too close.

Perfect radar iamge of a supercell thunderstorm here in Southern California. The cell is located to the SW of the Newport Beach area, and the top arrow shows the anvil, the others show the inflow hook echo, and also the hail core.

Aveo, if you are here, another round of Thunderstorms may be possible today, rather strong at that. NWS doesnt mention it, nor does SPC, but if you look at the latest upper air, a very strong mini vort will move into LA Basin sometime after 11am.. Enough Moisture as well, and Jet dynamics to get a few thundersorms going, even the cold core at -24c at this time..Ill be once again monitoring this. Funnel Clouds, and Waterspouts me be posible in this, and wind veering profiles show possiblity for a tornado touchdown, or over near tornado touchdown, mainly because of this very cold air aloft.

The Ontario Weather Service has updated the Flag Values area in their research section.

I just looked at the OWS Varibles, and it seems they got it off RUC data. NEVER TRUST RUC MODEL unless its the 3 hr time, or the initial time, where it shows the right data. Always trust the GFS as this seems to be the most accurate. Note, Thunderstorms will not happen today as Ontario Weather Service Experimental Flag Reports show. This is experimental so Im sure they will learn from their mistakes.
