Warmer, drier weather on way

#1 Postby TexasStooge » Thu Mar 03, 2005 9:55 am

From Texas Cable News / Associated Press

Texas will finally get a break Thursday from the spell of recent rain, the National Weather Service said.

Warmer temperatures and partly cloudy skies are on tap for most regions. West Texas should see completely clear skies, with highs approaching 70 and lows near 40.

In the Permian Basin, morning fog will make way for partly cloudy skies with a high around 70. Lows will be in the mid-40s.

North, Central and East Texas will see highs around 60 and lows in the mid-40s.

Highs will reach 80 in South Texas and 70 on the coast. Lows in the two regions will be around 60.

The only region that may see rain is the Panhandle, where there's a 20 percent chance of afternoon showers. Highs will be near 60 and lows around 30.
