Severe weather outbreak could possibly occur over South Caro
Northeast Georgia and Upstate South Carolina could be hit with possible tornadoes, damaging winds and hail. The first round of severe weather could occur late tonight and early sunday morning in isolated areas. Large hail and damaging winds are possible. Disturbances ahead of the front may cause this to happen; but the biggest round of severe weather will most likely occur sunday afternoon and sunday night with low pressure moving northeast along an area of cold air from the north and moist and unstable air from the south. The most probable focal point is northeast Georgia and Upstate South Carolina and the southern piedmont of north carolina. This set up could bring a serious severe weather situation. We could be looking at super cells. The forecast discussion for Greenville Spartanburg mentions this for Sunday evening. Hopefully this will be more isolated than widespread if it occurs.
