Well it seems pretty obvious the cap is indeed weaker to our east, esp. with us already in the low 80s and not seeing much. But we are very unstable and as the S/W crosses I think we'll see storms pop through the cap around Houston as well.

It's not looking good at this point. The cap seems to be holding pretty firm.

Nothing much happening locally on the radar today, but anyone have any thoughts on the satellite loop? All at once lots of stuff popping down in Mexico and Central Texas. Will it head to SE TX tomorrow?

You bet! Either we get some rain under the Dome tomorrow, or I'm back to dragging the hoses out again.

I think we will have decent shot at some storms by the early hours of tomorrow morning. However, *most* (though likely not all) should be under severe limits when they reach our area. Might still be a few potent cells though (with even better chances as you head north).

I am ready for the sun and 90s! No more cold. The family is headed to Dallas for the Easter weekend. The forecast is for highs in the mid 50s to low 60s and lows in the upper 30s. Where is Spring?? The last time we were in Dallas for Easter it snowed in Fort Worth. I am very ready for Summer even though it brings hurricane season.

I am seeing some lightning to my north-northeast right now. Looks like the storms are heading straight in from the north this time.

I have been getting a pretty good storm for the last 30 minutes now here. Over 0.5" of rain so far.

Just a quick spit, if that much in the Spring Branch and Galleria areas. Looks like it withered as it moved into the city.
