Hurakan, what do you think of this huge band of rain headed our way?

I hope for some rain but I worry that some of the thunderstorm may be severe and some damage could be caused. Lets wait to see what happens.

Do you think that the Tornado watch might need to be extended to Broward and Miami-Dade?

The last cold front left at least one tornado in Broward country. I would say that extending the watch to South Florida is a good idea.

Doesnt look like we have had any severe thunderstorms inland in a while. When do you think we will get the worst of this system?

What the heck was that just went through Douglasville near Atlanta, causing some significant damage. . Looking at the radar loop, a very small thunderstorm moved through there.. Rogue cells indeed. Cell still looks intense and tiny. Now halfway between Canton and Cumming, Ga just north of Atlanta.

I was just woken up here in Hollywood from thunder and lightning. Our Tornado Watch just expired. I wish I was awake for it. Weather has not thrilled me like this since Wilma.

Looks like Orlando got 1.24" and Miami about 0.69", which isn't enough to refill Okechobee, but can't hurt.

The Spring frontal rainy season shoud just be starting, and then hopefully seabreeze season and Easterly wave season will be your friend in Florida.

It's been blowing really hard here all day. Moss and leaves and small branches all over the place. Rain total was darn close to 2".

According to the tabular forecast the winds should die down by midnight.
