Outbreak for,TX/OK/ARK/LA on 3/19-20

Severe weather hammered the Midwest and South from Minnesota to Texas including a tornado that touched down in San Antonio, where at least 50 homes were damaged or destroyed.

The sheriff's office in Medina, Texas, reported multiple injuries, but do not have a count yet.

"Pretty much all" of the approximately 50 homes damaged were completely destroyed, a representative from the office said.

Interim Fire Marshal Craig Roberts reported heavily damaged homes and five injuries, and one reported missing, according to KSAT. He said none of the injuries were life-threatening.

It didn't hit San Antonio, and it didn't hit Medina... Medina's not even in Medina County! That damage is pretty impressive though. I hope it doesn't break Texas's streak of no tornadoes stronger than EF3 anywhere in the state since 1997.

Well, this outbreak I got caught up in. Was down at Fort Polk, LA for training during the month of March, and on the 20th we had to go take cover in the ditches. When the all clear was given, just to our east, you could clearly see the rotation (was clockwise, too!). The storm could of easily dropped a tornado right on top of us. Then the fun began...it rained and lightning almost nonstop from Noon on the 20th until 8 or 9 am on the 21st. We picked up between 8 and 12 inches of rain, with isolated amounts of 15 inches!

Leesville is the town right off post.

Yeah I grew up in DeRidder, just to the south of Ft Polk. Saw all kinds of crazy flooding pics on facebook that family and friends from back home had posted.

After today I think your fine state's good luck streak was shattered in and around the Dallas/Ft. Worth areas. Our prayers are with all affected by these horrific storms.
