Feels like fall out there a little chilly, brisk wind, and cloudy :D. I vote we skip summer and go straight in the fall thread

:uarrow: Third. What a fantastic mid May afternoon. Wearing jeans and a long sleeve shirt comfortably. Another cool to warm week ahead with plenty of storm chances. My memories of the month of May being hot and humid every year are being chipped away the last few years. We have been lucky . Gotta long way to go before mid September. Enjoy this weather while we can.

Has anyone started a Texas Summer 2016 thread yet? It is hard to believe, considering the current weather, that June is two weeks away.

Some strong storms south of the front. I am visiting family in Deep E TX and it is rumbling pretty good but no rain yet here.

They blew the forecast in Austin as well. It won't rain all day! Yeah, well about that? It's May and its Texas. Some of the totals here must be interesting.

Hard to believe it was 91 degrees on Tuesday and 71 today. Is this May? But, Cosgrove's long term forecast is for it to go from seasonably warm to stifling heat at the last half of June. Interesting. 2011 anyone? I'll take it. We didn't finally get a house with a pool in TEXAS to only be able to use it for 3 months.

No thank you on 2011!!! 88F yesterday before storms hit here in Houston. With our humidity it was quite uncomfortable. Ended up with 1.12" bringing us to saturated again! If we get the amount of rain forecast for Houston metro this week we might as well just live permanently on our arks! Still wacky weather imo, but sounding like almost typical in LC long term.

http://www.spc.noaa.gov/products/outlook/day2otlk.html Enhanced risk on Monday for TX and OK. Although we know strong/violent tornadoes don't care much for any risk level....

The GFS and Euro both have DFW at least threatening the all-time record lowest maximum on Thursday which is 68 degrees as of now... gonna be interesting to watch. Both models have basically an all-day soaking rain.

I'm glad I left Ohio for the Summer, I've been getting notifications that they are under freeze warnings today. I love cold just as much as any winter lover, but I put emphasis on in the Winter. I don't want it to be below 32 degrees in May, that's just not right lol. Although I see on the NWS page that they are forecasting 36 degrees for the low in Columbus that is still way to cold for me for this time of year.

The coast near Corpus Christi took a huge amount of rain last night. The heaviest looks like it fell over Corpus Christi Bay, where 12-18" of rain is estimated to have fallen by Dual-Pol, but some areas right on the coast saw over 10" accumulations too. A dying MCV from last night can still be seen on radar between Corpus Christi and Victoria.

Holy moly, had no idea about CC Bay area. Yeah i just read the discussion. WIth convective temps in the 80's (high 70's today i think) and with every single day till Thursday with its own unique reason for a rainfall event, we could be in for a bad situation for Houston.

My friends in Westbury almost flooded AGAIN on Saturday. They flooded twice so far since last Memorial day and the last two events it has come within 2 inches literally.
