Euro has temps from the low 40s to mid 50s in the DFW area Sunday, but a low in the lower 30s (first freeze?) on Tuesday.

Winter = cancel? :wink:

Last winter? Last winter was cold and snowy all across Texas. Maybe you didn't get the 2 ft of snow you wanted, but we all saw snow, even Portastorm (check out his avatar). I'm already tired of winter...

Technically he's right. We did see snow in flurry form. Or maybe it was dust, or grass clippings, or ash from a grass fire. It was hard to tell.

Actually, that hole was the Omega Block. I moved it from Austin to Dallas at the beginning of last winter. It will remain there for the next 5 years. No snow for Brent for the next 60 months.

Beautiful isn't it?! Laying down 3 inches in my area we are getting so close to the event and the models have been showing this very real possibility materializing , I hope a consensus is reached soon so I can start telling my children snow on Monday for sure :)

I'd hold off a little longer. It is true the shortwave is becoming more prominent and more dig as the time is nearer. Right now the disturbance is making way through the Gulf of Alaska.

There is no doubt though the models have drastically reversed their course the past several days. What was supposed to be western ridge and eastern trough dominant has slowly turned into a western trough digging and slight southeast ridge. It just didn't make sense with a -PNA.

From last Friday

Ntxw wrote:The forecast is for the PNA to go negative. I would not be surprised if subsequent runs dig a deeper trough towards the southwest.
