Texline reported 32 this morning.

I believe that makes this the earliest freeze in Texas history.

Update: It is the earliest with the previous record being 9/15/1989 in Lipscomb. Also interesting is that the earliest freeze years in the Panhandle are 1983, 1989 and 2000; all had very interesting Decembers.

66F at DFW currently and upper 50s in FW. Forecast high tomorrow is 71 and the record lowest max is 68F. Record low is 56F.

Considering how cold it could have been, didn't quite get to it but on its own not too bad. Normal for the dates hovers 91/70.

after this front, its going to warmup but still below normal, signs of another rain event late next week(there may be a tropical connection) and then the end of the GFS has another huge front with DFW getting into the 40s...

Denver broke their record from 1962. That was a wild year.

Yep not too shabby. It's not what we thought just a couple days ago but the air tonight feels terrific.

58F and raining hard at the airport currently. Only 2 degrees off the Sept 10 record low of 56F.

It didn't turn out the way we thought it would, but in the end the air (at least for DFW) came pretty close to verification.

just stepped outside and definitely feeling more fall-ish even over here in the eastern metro

fun fact last September was the warmest and driest ever with zero rain and DFW didn't even go below 70 the entire month... it is the polar opposite this year already and its only the 10th
