Looking at the velocities and reports I have seen from this thing...pretty good 40mph+ gusts (at least) are along it's edge. There are no severe warnings out for it right now though...but this could change as it looks to be currently strengthening.

What's up night owls (or early-birds)?

Hmm, the main line isn't here yet - but I just had a few pings of hail on the skylight.

It also looks like the part of the line in Harris Co. may be trying to bow out a bit. I am watching for a severe warning to go up down here at any moment.

Also indicating 1.75" hail too. Yep, this line is intensifying a bit.

I am still wondering why Harris Co. is not under a warning? It is already quite windy here with excessive lightning off to the west and the line of storms on radar seems to be intensifying as it moves closer.

The leading edge already has passed through here in central Montgomery County. All bark and no bite for my area thankfully. The leading edge produced maybe a 45 mph wind but it only last for 5 seconds or so. Behind that gust the bottom fell out big time with some serious rain and small hail. The very heavy rain might of lasted 10 minutes but it has really slacked off. I see that there is a tornado warning out just off to the north of me...nothing here thankfully. I wanted an old fasion thunderstorm and that's what I got. I'm happy! :cheesy:

Also it looks like things could clear off a little quicker today which might spark up a few storms later on this afternoon.
This thing didn't even get close to being an MCS/Wake Low like some were saying. I sure am glad for that.

So far just lots of lightning and some 35mph gusts. Time to hit the porch for the show. Hail now just in N. Montgomery.

bolt of lightning just struck less than a football field away from my area. It was extremely scary and caused me to jump out of my chair.

I am hoping this moves through by 10AM this morning in Galveston County. Judging ribs and brisket at the Galveston Co Fair and Rodeo all day......rain or shine.

Yeah, that's all we got in the Austin area ... decent rains, some thunder and lightning, gusty winds ... but nothing terrible.

Looks like it was a fairly scattered event yesterday.

Just 0.18" here in Spring Branch with a few good storms. One close strike here too, but that was it. Nothing approaching severe.

The wind is very scary right now. The electricity has blinked, but I haven't lost it yet. My weather alert has been going crazy all morning, with the latest being a tornado warning just a couple of miles from here.
