Our nice summer trend continues throughout the week, however, we may have a tropical system developing and moving into the region on Sunday, bringing a slight chance of thunderstorms from that day on.

Last night has been a busy one. A line of thunderstorms was developing along the trough of Low Pressure North and West of DFW. On of which became briefly severe in Jack County. Otherwise, the storms only brought heavy rain and lightning. Today will be no different as a slight chance of thunderstorms is forecasted today with another chance from Sunday to Monday night.

As I said before, the summer trend continues with highs in the upper 80s to mid 90s as Fall officially begins. We're also gonna see isolated thunderstorms Sunday through Wednesday as potential Tropical Storm Jerry inches closer to the Gulf Coast.

It's the first few days of fall, and it's still feeling a little like summer with highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s throughout North Texas this week. Next Sunday, we'll see highs fall to the mid 80s as a cool front passes through the region.

Today through Wednesday Night, we'll see some isolated to scattered thunderstorms associated with a passing cool front that'll knock our temperatures to near-normal readings. Otherwise, we'll see another summer-like trend this weekend.

The cool front that's scheduled to sweep through the immediate DFW area will become stationary and will move westward in 24 Hours. Sure, we'll cool off a few degrees, but I reckon we'll not cool down until next month. We will, however, see some thunderstorms fueled by that stationary front. Brief heavy rainfall and lightning will be the main hazards, and no severe weather is anticipated, however, if the storms reach severe limits like last night in Fannin County, we'll keep an eye on the storm(s).

Early this morning, we had a small cluster of thunderstorms in Montague County that briefly turned severe. The storm has moved southeast to central Collin County and is slowly dissolving. We will expect more of the same in the next 24 hours, and we should have ourselves some nice weekend weather.

We're gonna enjoy this last summer-like weekend before the cooldown takes effect next week. From Today through Wednesday, we'll see highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies...not to mention a slight chance of thunderstorms from Sunday through Monday night. So, the weather should be nice this weekend for the State Fair of Texas opening weekend, but take your umbrellas on Sunday in case.

To those who can't stand the heat, we got one more week of it before a strong cold front moves in late Saturday evening, knocking highs down to the lower 80s by Sunday. However, to those who love the 90*F weather, enjoy it while it lasts.

The summer-like trend continues across the North Texas area through the first 1/2 of the weekend, but by Sunday, we'll have a strong cold front blowing through in time for Columbus Day. We'll have a chance of thunderstorms at that time. None of those appear to reach severe limits, but as always, we'll keep a close eye on this activity.

Many of us North Texans are waking up to a wet and dreary morning. An area of showers and thunderstorms developed overnight and are currently moving Southwest with the immediate DFW area getting the edge of the activity. Most of the activity, however, is east of I-35 and north of I-20.

As for the so-called cooldown, it's not gonna happen this weekend or next week as temperatures remain in the upper 80s to mid 90s during the day.

Today, we're waking up to a dry start compared to yesterday, where some of us had some rain in our early morning commute. Our summer-like trend will continue throughout next wek as our projected cold-turned-stationary front disappears. We will cool down a few degrees after Columbus Day.

The weather continues its warm trend throughout the weekend as highs remain in the upper 80s to mid 90s. There will also be a 40% chance of thunderstorms during the TX/OU weekend, so bring your umbrellas in case. Although a cool front will sweep through the area by Columbus Day, it's still not gonna cool down anytime soon.

Well, we may have a pending cooldown after all. A slow-moving cold front will be passing through the North Texas area by hump-day, knocking high temperatures to the lower to mid 80s by the weekend. At the meantime, we'll see scattered thunderstorms all day today.

After an afternoon of hot weather and an evening of storms, the weather has cooled down after a passing cold front swept through the region on Monday Night. Highs will remain in the mid to upper 80s throughout the weekend, however, highs will fall to near 80 on Monday.
