I think if this type of rain, slow and steady, could keep going for a while, it would be good, except in the low areas and those areas where training is taking place.

The rain is missing me to the north. It is over the north half
of pinellas county and over tampa. I had 3 bursts of moderate rainy dry b
but the bursts lasted only 5-10 minutes each totaling about 15 minutes,
it has been mostly very light rain except for those brief periods of 5-10 minutes
of moderate rain. Mostly breezy, probably wind gusts of 22-28 mph, but there is
nothing significant regarding wind or rain. Not much rain other then the moderate bursts,
.4 inches since this morning in the "gauge".

Moderate rain from time to time here in the Orlando area, which is good because there were some area along I-4 area that received close to 4" of rains yesterday, this is just what the doctor ordered for the many area lakes. To think that the last two Aprils grass was so brown because of dry weather.

I am watching this closely. The strongest part of this system seems to be down at the bottom of it, so SFL is not out of the woods yet.

Just checked the radar. Looks like most of the heavy rain is now south of me -- but ---still looks to be a wet night here.

Now over 2" today. And we LOVE it!! 8-)

Very heavy rain is falling. Over an inch today.
Now, there are big storms headed towards Sarasota.
Also, see the very strong cells and bow echo out in the
Gulf:

Looks like another middle of the night event. I don't think it will be as robust as the first shortwave.

I 'd like to retract my statement of the rain event not being as robust,it sure the heck is.
