I am in no way a professional. Take what I say with a grain of salt as I could be totally wrong. Please refer to the NHC, NWS, or SPC for official information.

I’m guessing it rains a lot in Oklahoma in July or something? That would surprise me actually.

For some reason, storm chances are higher around July 4th, tried Fireworks a few years ago, but a Thunderstorm came in & ended my fun time . . .

Re: Texas Summer 2021
CMC, UKMET and Euro (although has gotten drier) are showing some huge rains in south central texas this week. GFS not nearly as impressed.
Other than the Euro all models have been very consistent over the past few days, going to be interesting to see who wins.

Re: Texas Summer 2021
Rain really needs to start letting up in my area now. We need a 1 to 2 week break. It has been raining at my location every day lately. Every day we are getting 1-2 inches. If we get a tropical storm later this month or in August, we are going to be in big trouble. I like the cooler weather, but it has gone from one extreme to the other once again.

By the way, this is a dangerous pattern if anything moves towards the Gulf.

We’ve only gotten about a half inch here the past 3 or 4 days. Most of it has missed me.

The radar loop at Corpus Christi sure is interesting. If that feature had more time over water, maybe it would have developed into a tropical system? Idk - but it sure was a pretty well defined spin. Perhaps it was just a mesoscale spin-up.
