Stay safe! We have extended family near the Lake Jackson area. One of my nieces loves in Baytown, haven't heard anything from them just yet.

I can report that I've received just over 4 inches in my 3 gauges since midnight, not sure how much sideways rain may have missed. The ground is saturated and water is flowing and standing in my yard. Rain has picked up in intensity since I started writing this post. Oh and the wind blew open the shed door and water is all up in there. I'm not even gonna bother with it for now. Small limbs down here and there.

Had rain early this morning. A lull late morning/early afternoon. Now picked up again. Have 2 inches from Harvey's moisture, plus an inch I got on Thursday separate from Harvey. Three inches in gauge so far, and counting. My backyard is ponding. Periodic gusts of wind with multiple tree twigs down.

Yea I haven't counted what came down yesterday or night before which totaled 0.77in. With it included its over 5 inches all together.

I have a little less than 2" in the gauge since yesterday. Itx seems like it's rained more than that sideways!

GFS says summer is over DFW doesn't even hit 90 the entire run

And it's much drier than the euro which brings Harvey into DFW

Interesting, since the GFS has consistently been the warmer model this summer.

Got about 3 1/2" of rain today but what has impressed me has been the winds. Since this afternoon we've had steady winds of 20-30 with gusts near 50. Still going on right now. I suspect power outages will increase as night wares on and we're under the main circulation of Harvey.

Still has over 2 inches(most comes with the big front after labor day) I haven't seen the 12z Euro yet but the 0z euro had over 6 inches most of which comes from Harvey

I am waiting for the 0z GFS run to see how much DFW will get during the Labor Day weekend.

It sounds like we're in a car wash! For hours! Our lights have flickered a few times but so far they are on.

Saw something about 4"+ an hour of rainfall in Houston? That sounds awful for them, hopefully things don't get too bad. :(

There's a report coming out near Hobby Airport that they received around 9.5" in just an hour and a half.

About to pass 7 inches here at my house just blocks away from South Austin Hospital. Wind continues to gust very strong. Just in the last 30 min I've seen 3 power flashes, the last one less than 10 min ago and heard the pop from that one. So far so good power has stayed on but we are connected to the same power grid as the hospital. All the houses across the street can lose power while this side stays on.
