It's just one example of the "dumbing down process" in America, which is increasing at an exponential rate :roll: :roll:


It is kinda funny but VB is right.

My guess is that it was a harmless typo. The forecaster may have been rushing to get the update out and lost his/her train of thought. I don't think it has to do anything with being drunk at the keyboard :lol: or part of the "Dumbing down process which is thought to be increasing exponentially here in the United States" as coined by Ken !! :lol:

It was NOT a typo. The forecaster did not lose his train of thought writing this either because I saw a forecast discussion yesterday afternoon out of CAE that looked just like the severe warning in FLA. The same discussion on another site looked just fine. Something in the IWIN server is messing up. Not the NWS forecasters.

Something in the IWIN server is messing up. Not the NWS forecasters.


Which is exactly what I recieved from the NWS met who emailed me about the "drunk" thrread initially.

I know what he means...some forecasters abbreviate too much (in his opinion), making AFD's they wrote basically unreadable. I can understand what they write just fine and I'm not by ANY means a professional.
