SPC's gradual downplaying throughout the day of the tornado threat looks to be correct. Storms quickly became multicells and line segments (will later be a full blown MCS) which is keeping the tornado threat low despite strong low level shear. The earlier referenced lack of strong mid level flow and deep layer shear are the most likely culprits since they were only marginally favorable for supercells and with the PBL decoupling and destablizing, this should increasingly become the case. Still, the LLJ will strengthen this evening and ehnance low level shear further, so cells, especially any cell which become more supercelluar for a time, could produce an isolated tornado. But this looks like a true hail/wind event, not a tornado outbreak.

Does tomorrow look like a good day to be in middle Tennessee?

Hard to tell at this point. I really think the severe weather is winding down.

Ummm...no. We have numerous thunderstorm warnings, hail indicated on radar at this time in IN. SPC has a ST Watch until 9am for parts of IL/IN/KY.

Some nice looking storms in AL/GA at the moment. One is torn warned and I expect the one in Chambers County to go the same way.. Showing strong rotation aloft, although nothing showing up nearer the surface yet...
