Tropicana, where have you been finding a list of record high and low temperatures? I've been looking on some weather sites, but can't find them.

It was a scorcher in Phoenix today, and my new record high (since I moved here in 1997, too) for this date topped out at 119! Thought I was seeing things when I came home from work today and one thermometer was at 121 (but not as accurate as the other) and the other sat squarely at 119 degrees! The old record for Phoenix was 112, I believe.

Within two hours after that sweltering high, a small but intense thunderstorm developed just northeast of me, and the gust front swept some dust and cooler (down to 96) air for a couple of hours.

And then, just a few minutes ago, a gusty north wind kicked up again (to about 30 mph) and actually shot the temperature from 98 to 102 as dusk settled in!

Ah, the desert. Nothing quite like it!!!

I just added Death Valley to the list. It reached 125F there on Saturday, which tied the 1916 record.
So impressive is the list everyday...I can't even keep up and some records I haven't even included..I'm sure I missed some.

Got any where you can get current temps from there. In is there a chance it could hit 134 or above today?

Only got up to 123 degrees today in Death Valley. I just use AccuWeather for the current temperature. The other website I go to, wunderground, doesn't have Death Valley...I haven't really checked any other websites, since those are the only 2 I ever go to (and occassionally weather.com; I only come here for the forums).
