It does look like training will be a threat today. I've already had two storms.

Figures - I decided to tempt fate and took my 2 dogs for a walk along with King, the 115-lb lab from next door. No sooner did we get to the end of the street but it poured - just long enough to soak us, about 60 seconds total. The dogs wanted to keep going so we added sweat to wet. Oh well, at least the curs are happy.

Looks like the Dome is failing now that we're home, and west Houston appears to be in the pipeline for training rains the next couple of hours. Getting a good thunderstorm right now. As long as we get breaks in between, we won't have any flooding worries. Feast or famine as usual...

Love the discussion Kelly! Once in a while the Houston boys find a sense of humor too - always a welcome change. Hope your yard isn't too swampy yet again.

I guess Yankee and I should count our lucky stars for the lack of rain yesterday. Been getting pounded now since my last post!

Lucky you for getting to sleep late! I had to get up at 8:00 to give King his epilepsy meds. Don't want him having a seizure on my watch! Great day to hole-in and watch movies, isn't it Yank? :D

Looks like one more round for the West side and that'll be about it for the heavy stuff here unless more develops. Nice day! :D

Amazing. I was coming from Santa Fe ( near Galveston) and I took Beltway 8 near Pasadena. I swear those rains coming down could have been akin to a tropical system. I could not see for a stretch of 10 miles.

Yankee, tell me you got some rain out of this mess today?! Since my rain gauge went kapoot, I'm guestimating based on ":the pool level that I've had 1.5" today under the Dome. Got a nice break right now with some sun coming through, and looks like more developing to our SW and W. :D

Ditto on the rain here. We got a lot yesterday as well. The creeks and bayous are getting pretty full. At least all the rain gave me a good excuse not to have to mow the grass on Father's Day :D

Canebo - I can hear the grass growing outside right now. Enjoy your Father's Day break, for it will be that much worse by tomorrow!

Yep the grass is a growing. I picked up 1.22" today which is a short drive from Canebo's......a few subdivisions over from my location. I will be updating the weather web page this week since I am in between career moves.

Your ears do not deceive you Jen, it is growing like bamboo. Usually I am begging for rain, but if we get much more today I will need to put pontoons on my lawnmower!

Katdaddy: I wondered how much was in your gauge. I dumped 4" from mine last night, but that was for the week. I wish I could spread it out over a couple of weeks, but it still beats watering.
