Be careful trusting those EPS members over the NHC forecast. Many of us got burned when the EPS members/ensemble mean screamed a further westward track for Laura as compared to NHC's forecast. I wouldn't mind a few inches of rain but I'm not buying what King Euro is selling just yet.

I hope you guys up there get some rain. Y’all need it. 10-15” forecasted for my area.

its interesting how consistent that's been despite the weaker more inland track(even when they had a hurricane along the coast last night)

and that's assuming it doesn't even track up here

this could be the biggest Atlantic tropical rain up here since Bill 2015 lol

the 0z Euro is barely SE of Dallas Tuesday Night :double: has over 8 inches of rain near Corsiciana :double:

1" here in Longview, TX today from the first Beta band. Still sprinkling but should be dry for a while as we enter the massive dry-slot. It will be interesting to see how the banding sets up as what's left of Beta drifts northeast.

Low clouds rolled in with some heavy mist falling. Windows open with a cool breeze blowing through. Thank you Beta.

Just crossed 5" for the storm. Fresh band over me has a rain rate of over 4.5" an hour. Having flashbacks over here.

One thing ive noticed, the temp has gone up 4 degrees to 74, dewpoint is up. Warm front has passed us.

Here we go again...another year, another significant flood event in Houston. I'm at around 6 inches since yesterday, with another 6 inches possible over the next 24 hours.

Congrats to all getting such beneficial rain!

On a statistical note DFW is running -3F below normal...quite a contrast to the historically warm September a year ago. Not quite top 10 coldest sitting at 76F average but with another cool down coming next week we could get close!

Same here in Texarkana. It seems as though the Doppler Radars are about 3-4 miles off from where the precipitation is actually located. It is the same on RadarOmega and RadarScope. Normally, both radars are spot on with the precipitation when they update. My guess is the low cloud tops often associated with Tropical Systems is the cause.
