Holy lightning!!!!!!!!!!!
Just got 3 inches in an hours time and the lightning is out of control, was in the middle of bbqing when the down pour started. That was freaky being out there with the metal grill with tons of lightning and I am usually not freaky about lightning. BTW I was under an awning on my back porch. And its still raining rather hard. My grass is singing though it was crispy.

Just got news that somebody got struck by lightning here in St. Pete by the latest Gully Washer. I also had minor street and backyard flooding.

Broken heat records in Tampa two days in a row. One of them from 1895 I believe. I pity the people who don't have AC. Its unbearable.

Our poor horses are miserable in this heat.
My quarterhorse looks like she has frost on her back every afternoon from the dried salt from her sweat. I am much anticipating the end of summer this year!

I am sure that you all will think I am insane, but recent evenings have been really comfortable and I can feel a slight hint of fall. I usually feel that in September, but I have felt the last few evenings. It is not quite so stifling and it is pleasent to be out. 86 degrees, instead of 97.
Anyway, my Frangipani leaves are beginning to turn yellow and that is usually the sign of fall approaching and this time it is happening early. So, I foolishly predict an early break in the oppressive summer heat and possbily and comfortable fall and winter. I am in Southwest Florida.
