Lots of blowing dust this morning. My drive to work heading east, the sunrise looked like something from Star Wars. Like I was on Tatooine.

WPC says no QPF for Texas for the next 7 days.

I'm enjoying this nice fall weather, but it would be nice to get some more regular rain to keep us from getting TOO dry... It's been feast or famine since the beginning of August.

I’ve only had one good rain event here since the end of July and that was from Beta.

Fall foliage has started early here. Even saw some leaf changing in late September. Earliest I have ever seen here. Regardless, if we don't get some rain soon the vibrancy of the fall colors are going to look rather dull come November. Fall air is nice but damn it is too dry!!!!

Definitely not as cold as it was but still some below normal temps look possible how much cold remains to be seen though

next week will definitely be a lot cooler than this week either way

Honestly being October we don't wanna get too much cold too early that usually doesn't bode well for the winter

Remember the last few years we had a wintry threat before Thanksgiving and then the winter sucked

The front today up here is pretty good after yesterday cloudy and near 70 after 91 yesterday

Still a lot of uncertainty about the fronts next week but that *may* have been our last 90.. the lack of rain is definitely more of an issue though

Still 10 days out. GFS will probably say we’ll have 80’s and sun in a few moments.

Through mid October we are -1.96" on rainfall and +1.1 degrees above average.

Nothing in the pattern shows any real change through the rest of the month. May see a few showers at the end of the 7 day but it's pretty weak. The remainder of October looks to be about average but October will still end warmer/much drier than average.

Hopefully November will look better, but I'm thinking above average as well, but wetter than October.
