Wind gusting to 20-25mph over here in Lantana, Fl...south of Lake Worth. Intercoastal jumping with white caps...pretty wierd lookin actually. Water splashing on top of the concrete docks and platforms at my marina. Just saw a "Barnacle Buster" guy who said the current was kicking underneath. Anyhoo, other than the Dolphins losing, thats my day so far...

I had the air off Sunday and it is off today, Monday. It is so nice, I am just sad that it won't last long enough.

I gotta go find Gulf Breeze Florida. I am in Southwest Florida and it never made it below 70.

here in NE Florida, some locations were reporting upwards of 14 inches of rain yesterday.

My rain gauge recorded almost 7 inches, supposed to clear out today sometime.

We are under a flood watch again, NWS states some areas could see additional 2-3 inches an hour of rainfall.
I haven't seen it rain like this in years. Its very localized, and has been for some time. September rainfall amounts have ranged from 22 inches in St Augustine, to 5.4 inches at JIA. And its been the same so far for October.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Five days after a nor'easter began sending rain and wind across northeast Florida, the wicked weather showed no signs of letting up Wednesday morning.

The relentless heavy rain has dropped up to 14 inches in places, flooding on roads all around Duval, St. Johns Clay and Nassau counties. Just before 6 a.m., the National Weather Service issued a flood warning for Duval and St. Johns counties.

Areas that saw highest rain totals included Julington Creek, which saw more than 8 inches, Fruit Cove and World Golf Village saw more than 7 inches, and Normandy and downtown saw more than 6 inches.

Some Schools Closed
Julington Creek Elementary School will be closed on Wednesday as roads around the school are closed. All other public schools in northeast Florida are reported to be open.

Private schools closed on Wednesday: Mandarin Christian School, Mandarin Presbyterian Preschool, Just for Kids High Tech Academy, St. Augustine Cathedral Parish Kindergarten, Sharing Tree Preschool, and A Child's Place Montessori School.

Nemours Children's Clinic in San Marco will be closed Wednesday as the building is surrounded by water.

Skies Open Up Tuesday Evening
"The rains kicked in around 4 p.m. Along the coast, they moved in slowly and dumped an amazing amount of rainfall," said Meteorologist John Gaughan during the 10 p.m. newscast. "The nor'easter is finally fading, the winds are beginning to subside. The heavy rains, clearly are over. Flooded roads -- yes. A major number of roads flooded at one time or another during the height of the storm."

For about two hours on Tuesday, the Florida Highway Patrol was forced to close Interstate 95 southbound south of Interstate 10. Cassat Avenue near I-10 was under water, according FHP.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR WEST CENTRAL AND SOUTHWEST
