I woke up expecting clouds and wind today, and the sun is glaring in my eyes. YUK! Bring on the weather!

Same here Jen. Very nice day here on the MS Gulf Coast. Better enjoy it because the rains return tomorrow.

I woke up just now with the sun glaring in my face... I guess the rain will get here later on when I am wrapping presents... So I guess I will have to do with the rain and pretend its snow?

This is BOLD....

Tonight: A chance of rain and thunderstorms, then periods of rain and possibly a thunderstorm after midnight. Low around 45. Northeast wind between 10 and 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%.

Sunday: Periods of rain and possibly a thunderstorm, mainly before noon. High near 51. North wind between 10 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%.

I hate it when they put in 100% chance of rain... it never rains here under the Dome when they do that!!!

Where'd you find that one Yankee? You're right about the numbers though - the only time it rains under the Dome is when it's 20-30%! Here's what I just got from the NWS:

This Afternoon: A 20 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 63. East wind around 10 mph.

Tonight: A chance of rain and thunderstorms, then periods of rain and possibly a thunderstorm after midnight. Low around 44. North wind between 5 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.

Sunday: Periods of rain and possibly a thunderstorm, mainly before noon. High near 51. North wind between 10 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.

Wow! From one second to the next went from bright sun to thick clouds and an increasing cool wind. Yes! :cheesy:

I was looking at the NOAA site, I used my zip code, which is 77084... I guess I am going to have to change it to Cypress to get a more accurate forecast.... Not really that much of a difference, 90% 100% its all the same... Its going to rain.... I have to go finish the shopping... be back later on... hopefully before the rain...

Looks like you're gonna get wet Yankee!
I have to laugh at that 100% bit: usually our NWS guys won't go out on that limb until we're already flooding. :D

That tiny little hole on the radar between Loop 610 and Hiway 6 is THE DOME. Not a sprinkle here yet!

I am so happy to see the widespread rainfall in the great nation of Texas - here's hoping for a real frog floater to fill up all those dry creeks and stock tanks!

Still not too much rain here yet... Just a few drops... Not even enough to wet the streets... Looks like its all to the west of Harris County as of now... Im guessing its going to scoot closer to us later on tonight....

See how it just dissapates in the face of the Dome? Creeps into the neighborhood and BAM! Gone!

Not surprised at all, but DAM it's killing me watching loop after loop of promising lines of showers just getting pulverized by the Dome. We've had only the lightest sprinkling all evening. PHOOEY!

Looks like the rain/storms are really starting to come together now. Harris county looks to be in line to get slammed within the next few hours...
