Sad to see. Just a few days ago it was looking like we would see some more good rain from this system. Now very little rain is expected with only a brief cool spell. Looks like hotter and drier than normal conditions will be the dominant pattern over the next few weeks.

Yep the Euro stood its ground that the TC would get sheared out. It looks like it was right.

Looks like lots of high 90s coming per both GFS and Euro, so enjoy the cooldown. Shucks. I was hoping we would beat it, but summer has one final round it look like.

Definitely going to look forward to the front this weekend. Doesn’t look like any real cold, just enough to keep us in 70s - maybe even 60s through the afternoons

Snow in Texas, 8th wonder of the World

Don't use my posts as forecast; I'm not a licensed meteorologist! I just endorse cold weather, alright?

All observations I note are for Temple, Texas unless otherwise stated.

Yuck, 104 IMBY.

Hope this is the last one! But tomorrow may overperform.

GFS shows 100s again mid-month.

Yeah I think we got excited that summer was over far too early here. Looks like above normal temperatures will dominate the extended forecast as we head into the middle part of September. Sure wish we could have an early Fall more often.

What a disgustingly hot day. It is a crime to be 100F in September! Closer to 80 on Saturday...

102*F to be exact.

Which, considering we started the day in the mid 60s, is an impressive swing.

I know even up here people just assumed it was over too

We're still gonna go 2 and a half weeks without hitting 90. Hard to beat that

I wouldn't be surprised if tomorrow underachieves, if anything.

1) There should be a lot more cloud cover (today, we had virtually full insolation all day)

2) Models have a tendency to be way too slow with the progression of Blue Northers this time of year.

Also, we may have a sneaky severe weather threat tomorrow afternoon as well. SPC has placed DFW under the marginal risk area.

Yeah the front may be coming in faster, which would at least help cool things off faster.

I noticed one big difference from earlier in the summer. I got up to 104, but it's now 88, while in the middle of summer it would be 95 still by this point.

While Lorena definitely fizzled out , the moisture from it hasn't completely and with the approaching front interacting with some of that, portions of SC TX should still see a window late Saturday into Sunday for some scattered showers and a few thunderstorms.

It hints at fairly decent coverage for the DFW too (especially the northern suburbs).
