Mike Morgan up in OKC(yeah I know)... Threw out December 1983 last night :double: :cold: :spam:

There's also been a met here talking about November December 2000 which I know was very cold and had several winter storms

What did Manic Mike say?

He made a post on Facebook something about the pattern coming looks cold and he personally is thinking of December 1983 and our met from NBC here even replied to him talking about how he's been seeing signals of really cold too(he's been talking about 2000 for weeks and predicts Tulsa will see a snow before Thanksgiving). He was talking about that even back when it felt like the 90s would never end

Today's forecast is about 7-10 degrees off the expected high which was 63-65 I believe. Either way I'll take it :ggreen:

Are you in Tulsa for good? I missed the move, if so.

Been a wet afternoon near the big airport. Just another day I do not have to run the sprinklers!

Trending drier for tomorrow here in Longview. WPC had us in 1.25" shade just a couple of days ago. Around 1" yesterday. And now today we're just in the 0.5" shade. Hopefully we can at least get that. Looks like the bullseye has moved from NE TX to Central and S TX.

High was 44 today. 19 degrees below normal. I had to pull out things I haven't worn in almost 3 years so that I'm not freezing when I go out to measure the rain at work lol.

Well, unfortunately the trend is your friend. I had 0.01" last night, and I'll be surprised if we end up with much more than 0.1" total. Then dry for another week. :(

Almost 1.50 IMBY from yesterday to today. Not bad since some of the rains in the last event were less than expected. This was more than I expected. I was only hoping for .50 this time.

Chilly!

Hey y'all! It has been a while since I have been on. Life has been busy with school. I saw the CPC forecast for this month, and I do not think it is going to verify very well. Every front we have had this fall has been at least average strength, and with this next front, lows will be rather chilly once again. Also, rainfall was above-average for October in my area. I think ENSO is being a little too heavily weighted this month and winter, but we shall see.

Currently a high of 48 and it's midday as well. We've had around 0.7 inches of rain. Enjoy this nice cold rain while it lasts!

Well, after I posted this, heavier showers developed and moved through the area. Ended up getting 0.83"! Just what we needed.

Light rain, temps in the mid 40s, and a little more than an inch of rainfall in the past 24 hours.

What a great November day in Denison!!!!!!!!! 8-)

I agree with you that ENSO is being weighed too heavily. In my experience, late fall and winter in Texas are more closely correlated to high latitude blocking than ENSO most years.

It is now officially too dang cold! I'm longing for the warmth of July. I'll be heading up to the Canadian border this weekend to reinforce my wall. :cold:

The cold is coming, but the models are diverting it more towards the East Coast than here.
