Cycloneye, we're having a really bad last few years. This year isn't any better even though the Monsoon Season is upon us. Tucson has been getting good storms, mostly in the SE part of the state. But up here in central AZ it has been really bad. Only isolated storms, not long-lasting, very brief. Couple suburbs in Phx got slammed the past week but it's very isolated and when some area does get hit, seems like it's severe. Bad microbursts. A warehouse roof collapsed last week and killed a worker caught under the rubble. Think it was in west Phx.
We have microclimates in AZ and one suburb could get 2" of rain in a very short timeframe but the rest of the city is toast. Been getting worse the last 10 years.
