I'm out of Xanax! So no cowboys for me, especially with the 2 year old Grandson here. Can't send him home with some newly learned words!!!!!

I see that storm right out my window. I have nothing blocking my view to the west. Pure Texas sky! Temp was 96, now it's 81.

Yep, storms seem to be collapsing as they approach Dallas county, because, of course.

Looks like storms heading for the metroplex have mostly collapsed... Hopefully, DFW doesn't break the 37 day rainless streak with a trace from a collapsed storm. Maybe rain later in the week? Models looked good for today at that range as well but dried up as we got closer in time.

The upper dynamics were not great for a rain event. No tropical connection and purely frontal. Cool air incoming still though! The rain chances will be better late week with bigger storm.

Area Forecast Discussion
National Weather Service Austin/San Antonio TX
825 PM CDT Sun Oct 6 2019

.UPDATE...
Overall, the previous forecast is in good shape and see little things
that need updating. The cold front have moved south of San Angelo and
should be in our northern counties by 10-11 PM. The best chances for
showers and thunderstorms along and behind the boundary will be in
the northern and western CWA. Some gusty winds or brief heavy
rainfall will be possible with the stronger storms. With
temperatures now below 90 degrees across the area, congratulations
South-Central Texas, you made it to cooler weather. Enjoy the day

tomorrow.

Windows are already open this a.m. The breeze is amazing. Probably will go with no air conditioning today and maybe tomorrow.
