Channel 2 just showed a live shot of a MASSIVE tornado-like feature. The local mets are shocked.

Edit: I think it might be a wall cloud, but it was VERY ominous looking when it first showed up. The met freaked I think and called it a tornado.

Maybe a mistake? Didn't see any tornado emergency issued. There's nothing confirmed on the ground and the NWS won't issue a tornado emergency unless it is absolutely dire.

Severe TS cell with likely tornado now moving through downtown Atlanta, or by the looks of the radar, the south side.

WSBTV is running cached. No storm warnings displayed on the website at all the past 30 minutes.

Well the worst is past downtown now... I don't think there was a tornado there, maybe in the western suburbs. But yes there is a mass panic after last night.

Look at those storms forming S of I-20. All supercellular in structure. This is the beginning of what will be a long evening and night. Next tornado watch may be a PDS.

My CNN coverage just broke in with the radar but they had no live CAM shots at all.

70 dbz or even higher, right at the top on base reflectivity of the storm that passed through Atlanta. More cells still moving through.

Looks like we might have a 3rd straight month with a tornado outbreak being Storm of the Month.

That's right.

So baseball sized hail hit downtown Atlanta, the damage is going to be very high then. Another cell heading for ATL right now, just chaos.

The CNN site is not being updated, at least I can't get any news from Atlanta in Europe.
