With some of the video I saw, I wouldn't be surprised. VERY bad damage. Leveled the couple houses I seen.

KTEN reports that the school in Tushka has been "flattened." The reporter said it looks like a "horror scene."

Reports of damage and power outages in Talihina, Oklahoma, possible Tornado.


SEVERAL rotating Supercell's in Eastern Oklahoma. I counted 5 within a 50 mile radius,

8:40 p.m. - A dispatcher in Atoka County has told NewsChannel 8 that one person is dead, four others critically hurt and another is missing. People are trapped in homes, power lines are down and they are still assessing the damage.

Indeed that sounds like at least an EF3, perhaps an EF4 tornado that hit there.

On another board it said a school was completely flattened. That is EF5 damage if that is true, but that may be an exaggeration.

Large Tornado just reported on the ground between Wister and Howe, Oklahoma.

Looks to stay south of Poteau, Oklahoma and Ft. Smith, Arkansas because it turned right.

People in the path of this storm TAKE COVER! Large Tornado spotted on the ground.

KXII talked to spokesman at Atoka County Hospital. He confirmed "multiple injuries" that ranged from cuts/abrasions/sprains to "serious and above" injuries. Said they had received injured from Tushka, Atoka, Stringtown, and other local spots.
