It looks like central Arkansas will be OK this evening, but I can't be so sure about SW Arkansas and SE Oklahoma staying in the clear.

:uarrow: Storms went tornadic w/in a half hour of forming (or so it seemed). And at one point, it seemed like that EVERY storm was rotating and going tornadic.

FYI, KRLD just reported a number of injuries in the Lancaster area, some perhaps critical, 300 buildings damaged.

Also, in Forney, reporter said that the damage is worse than the 1994 Lancaster tornado that he covered. Numerous homes severely damaged, a number flattened.

This is a tornado warned cell that went right over my deer lease. No confirmed touchdown, but strong rotation reported with it. Where would the rotation be located at in this cell? Would it be that little hook on the southeast side?

Trailers tossed on the video of the Lancaster/Dallas tornado?

They reportedly are 53-feet long and weigh 16,000-lbs. when empty. Were tossed around like match-sticks.

Arlington and Lancaster getting all of the local publicity at the moment, but from the early reports the real story may be in Forney.

Ntxw: You hear of anything out of Greenville? They had a Tornado Emergency with a spotter confirmed tornado about to roar through town. Roation appeared to go directly through the city and yet all I've seen is a report of one home flattened somewhere near there.

I haven't heard much out of the far eastern areas, I didn't have power when that happened everything is what I'm getting from the local news. There's less media coverage out there so we won't likely hear much out of those areas until later probably.

Remarkable video of the Forney tornado from Brandon Sullivan.

Damage shots I've seen in Forney so far look to my untrained eye like EF-3, maybe some EF-4 damage.

This reminds me of the Utica, IL outbreak in 2004.

The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma, had issued only a forecast for general thunderstorms at the time of the tornado, with a See Text message for isolated severe weather. Neither large-scale models nor local soundings by the Chicago office could predict the ultimately small-scale event that caused six supercellular storms to spawn 14 tornadoes.
