New tornado warning for Adair and Casey Co. in KY.

Good thing is that the line has once agained congealed into a linear MCS. If this keeps up the tornado threat will be mitigated greatly down the road.

I hope so...because it's headed straight northeast toward me. If it gets bad again, whenever a warning comes across for Carroll County, Kentucky, then I will be gone!

KY storms are weakening as they move into stable air.

Meanwhile new storms are firing to the west of Atlanta. Need to watch those closely, though IMO they stand little chance of becoming mature supercells. The warm front isn't that far to the northeast, and once these cross over, game over. Fat lady sings.

Storms exploding just southwest of Atlanta... maybe some golf ball sized hail with the one about to come over the metro area. That storm started as a tiny shower just to my north a little while ago.

Edit: 2.5" hail indicated... watch out Sugar Bowl tailgaters...

I saw...very impressive. But the warm front isn't too far away, just northeast of Atlanta. However, if this matures justa bit more, it could produce as it interacts with the warm front, or even the wedge boundary.

Very impressive hook now on the SW side of Atlanta... looks to be headed close to the airport.

We had some rain this morning. Then cloudy for a while, then the sun came out around 2:30ish, it warmed up to about 68, then the clouds moved in around 4pm. Since then we've heard thunder, but no rain right now. I imagine that's not far away now, though.

We're under Tornado Watch in my area until (I believe 6pm).

Great. 10pm (not 6pm).

If we can't have cold and snow showers, can we just have about 75 and sunny? Please? ;)

Well... I understand WSB-TV not being on due to football(Birmingham mets would be killed if they interrupted that  ), but FOX 5 when the warning was first issued briefly cut-in and then went back to Divorce Court... who the heck cares???

Should note... the threat for Atlanta will likely be over sooner than that. The 10pm would be for areas around Athens. These storms absolutely exploded when they crossed the stateline. I am just 8 miles west of the border and barely got rain(and some decent lightning). I did get 1.53" of rain last night and early this morning though.

The storms near Atlanta are weakening again due to stable air. They have crossed the warm front/wedge boundary.
