Terrible news for most of Texas if you like rain.

Shouldnt the warm water roll east/northeastward?

Patriot12 Euro has blocking extending into Alaska and sends modified arctic air ( for november standards) down into the central US, ensembles have been hinting at this potentially interesting n the 2nd half of november for several days now, I think their is so legitimacy to colder weather following our wet pattern

Ntxw, I did find that there was one other time the PDO was this severely negative to be in the 1950s.

We have beaten the 50s in raw values. -3s is not common but to see Sep and Oct (and June) is hard to do. October's -3.81 is the lowest recorded in the NOAA index back to 1854.

2.49" on the CoCoRaHS gauge! Definitely the most rain in literally over 100+ days here! Washed the dust right out! Curious to know how the parched lawns and greenspaces around here will respond. Lake Travis went up a couple of inches they said. Have another 1"-2" projected through Friday! Then 50s to 70s through the weekend.

Making up for lost time in October.

DFW Airport has now received 1.29" of rain for the month with 1" recorded yesterday. I received about .40" for the same 4 day period here inn SE Tarrant. Any rain is welcome, and hopefully I get a lot more in the next round of showers.

Temperature wise, even though it's only been 4 days into November, we are +11.3 above the monthly avg. Normal avg daily H/L for Nov 5th is 69/53

The Temple Regional Airport reported only about a quarter of an inch of rain since yesterday evening. I’ve got about a little over .3 as of now. It’s better than nothing

Summer's for hibernation, Winter’s my vacation

Don't use my posts as forecast, I'm a complete meteorology noob! I just like cold weather, alright?

All observations I post are for Temple, Texas unless otherwise stated.

Hope everyone has gotten some good rain so far! Looking ahead for November, I have very high confidence that heights over alaska will be increasing during the next week or so, im seeing very good agreement in the ensembles of a -NAO/ -EPO /-AO blocking regime setting up and lasting from mid november onward for an extended period, the question is what does the PNA do , does the cold air stay out west, does it go into the central us or eastern us? good agreement on arctic air at least building in NW canada, just worth watching and see how that pattern evolves going forward

Got 1.75" in my gauge last night; 2" in the gauge a couple blocks away. Good for our homes/yards but not much really in the upper colorado watershed.

Election Day (Nov 5th) H/L at DFW was 68/57 - avg of 63 for +3 above the normal.

Those low to mid 70s next week quickly went to upper 70s to near 80 by Wednesday
