The area around Texarkana needs to be watched. The storms going near there are starting to have the discrete look. Tornado warning nearby in Arkansas.

The wind here is insane! Our electricity keeps going on and off. It went from nothing to intense in the blink of an eye. Wow.

NWS noted rotation in the cell west of the New Boston cell. That cell currently has a severe storm warning w/ quarter size hail and 60+ mph winds. This storm will come pretty close to DeKalb.

EDIT: NWS Shreveport dropped the tornado warning on the New Boston cell.

Yeah it was really strong here in Little Elm also. I opened the door to peek out and then gusted so hard I had to put my weight into closing the door. Fortunately, we had no hail.

I was just going to mention the cells popping up along the Mississippi River and then a new TOR watch box appeared.

Makes sense as that big tank sealed the deal. I think it's the right call no doubt.

Agreed this is quickly becoming a squall line threat.

I do not agree that this holds true for my part of the state. Given the expected back-building nature of the storms and possible squall line and that we're prone to the "tail-end charlie" scenario, I remained quite concerned for the south central Texas area.

I'm not sure if we will get any storms from this Porta. Austin and SA may be too far south again...we still have a few more hours for something to develop though.

How far did it travel. Was is a liquid-gas tank once standing in the backyard ?
