It was most certainly chilly when I got up to let the dogs out this morning. One thing that I love about cold air is how clear and crisp everything looks. Took some beautiful pictures while I was walking my dog Arwen in the park last night.

Awesome! This weather is great! Feels like late November or December. Humidity got down to 21% at my place earlier today outside. Have the humidifiers on at night, probably just tonight last night. Rain chances start Monday night. I notice when I take dog out when it is cold, that it is so quiet. Traffic in distance not as loud and air completely still and peaceful. Smoky smell of fireplaces reminding me of ski resorts and the holidays.

That is pretty crazy considering the expansion in the urban heat island since then. This was an impressive cold shot for this early in the season.

0z GFS has 88 at DFW on Thursday, if this verifies would beat the record of 87 from 2012(another year we hit 30s in October  also a White Christmas... ) and be 1 degree away from the all-time November high(and tie the high on November 1st last year). Gradually lower 80s continue into next weekend.

The Euro is pretty similar with near record highs Thursday/Friday then 70s next weekend

Halloween still looks likely to be a day DFW stays in the 50s

I am enjoying the pattern with all the cold fronts but the quick warm ups are getting annoying. 80's with a day close to 90 are on tap for the latter part of the week. Let's get a sustained cool snap around here. If I sound greedy for fall air it is because I am. :D

Light Frost in NW Harris County and daily record low smashed at IAH this morning dating back to 1993. The official low is 36F with a lot of freezing or below freezing temperatures across our Northern/NE and Western Counties. It was 35F at the airport in Corpus Christi as well.

This dry air is breaking me. Can't really even move my mouth without my excessively chapped lips bleeding.

PIcked up our first freeze of the season on Saturday morning at 30. Outside one of the small towns, 15 min away where we hunt, made it down to 24, at my blind in the river bottom.

Models have slowly been cutting back rain totals with this next system and then it looks pretty blah for the 1st week of Nov. We may see 4 or 5 straight days above 80... Happy Fall or something lol

This weeks forecast is killing me. 51 tomorrow and then 80s, including some upper 80s through the rest of the week.

A cold front will move through the entire region by Tuesday morning. This will allow a shallow and cooler layer of air to settle into the region at the surface. Just a few thousand feet up, however, warm air will begin to ride up and over the front, resulting in the development of showers through the day on Tuesday and Tuesday night. Most of the region looks to stay dry through Tuesday morning, but rain chances will ramp up quickly during the afternoon and evening. Temperatures Tuesday afternoon will be quite cool, only in the 50s for a good chunk of the region.

The temperature might of read 80, but it didn't feel 80. :ggreen: Also with the low of 36 the day still averaged out to -5 below normal, and we have shaved 2 degrees off the monthly avg over the last 3 days, now @ +2.6 for the month
