My write-up:

The longest-lasting tornado of the outbreak is still on the ground and has been reportedly very destructive according to statements by the National Weather Service. The tornado was reported as a large wedge tornado and was first spotted in Greene County, Illinois. Some of the communities affected in the first phase include Manchester, Murrayville, Franklin, New Berlin and Curran before approaching Springfield.

The tornado then tracked into the west end of Springfield and followed through the city. The fire chief of Springfield is reporting that severe damage and gas leaks have been reported in Springfield. Some of the damage include many trees and power lines down, plus many buildings have suffered damage of unknown degree, such as windows being blown out of many buildings and roofs collapsed in a commercial area. Several Webcams show that power is mostly out in Springfield according to WILL-AM.

The tornado is currently still on the ground and is said to still be large and destructive according to NWS statements. It then affected communities such as Clear Lake, Dawson, Latham and Maroa.

There is no word on any injuries at this time.

There should be a tornado warning for Champaign County, northern Piatt County, southeastern McLean County and southern Ford County soon.
