Oklahoma is now tied with Alabama for the state with the most F5 tornadoes.

Oklahoma and Alabama have had 7 F5 tornadoes each.

Oklahoma:

May 25, 1955: Blackwell, OK (20 dead)
May 5, 1960: Prague, OK (5 dead)
March 26, 1976: Spiro, OK (2 dead)
April 2, 1982: Broken Bow, OK (0 dead)
May 3, 1999: Bridge Creek/Moore, OK (36 dead)
May 24, 2011: El Reno/Piedmont, OK (9 dead)
May 20, 2013: Moore, OK (24 dead)

Alabama:

April 3, 1974: Mt. Hope, AL (28 dead)
April 3, 1974: Tanner, AL (22 dead)
April 3, 1974: Guin, AL (30 dead)
April 4, 1977: Smithfield, AL (22 dead)
April 8, 1998: Oak Grove/Pleasant Grove, AL (32 dead)
April 27, 2011: Hackleburg/Phil Campbell, AL (72 dead)
April 27, 2011: Rainsville/Sylvania, AL (25 dead)

I have not seen any discussion of the tank until reading in this thread today. However, to me it was obviously an EF5 when I saw debarked trees, ground scoured clean and slabs with no hint that there had been a house on them.

Saw on the Tyler news tonight that a lady in East Texas passed away due to storms passing through last night. Was an IHOP employee w/ 3 kids. She walked outside to get something out of her car, and lightning struck her umbrella and then her. Sad story. I think out of Lufkin.

Sad and tragic Story...

5-year-old Moore tornado survivor killed by dog

A 5-year-old boy whose family's home was destroyed by the May 20 tornado in Moore was bit and killed by a Bull Mastiff.
