I got some good pictures of the storm tops that formed not that long ago. They sure were pretty with the sun setting on them. Is their a way to post them without using a host site?

Geeze! Just as the front hits my house they form and go severe!~!~! Well...if nothing else; I at least got to see the storm form right above my head, and I got a few 40mph+ wind gusts. The bad news is that I only got a few drops of rain. :( Does not look to be any towering clouds behind the main storm line either. This may be a miss for my house...

At least I got my lightning show.

The bad thing is that this storm was literally less than a mile to my south when it first went severe..

Yeah, it's upsetting. I've been watching this front on radar/satellite ALL DAY inch southward. And for it to hold off until 8PM, right over the house...downright depressing. If I were still a kid I'd be throwing things.

Right now I just want some rain at least. Maybe overnight we'll still get a round move through like up north.

what I find amazing is the fact that Waco and S. Dallas can get Severe weather today when they are not even in a risk area...and then we here in NW Houston (who have been in a risk area for 5 days) are missed. I hope your right about those cells neat Victoria cheezywxman, but looking at the latest radar trend...they too appear to be heading SE.

No rain here in the west side of Houston... Just alotta lightning to the east and some good winds from outflow, Im guessing.... The storms arent moving too much either, looks like they are just raining themslef out where they are... My hubby is on BW8 and the Hardy, and he said its raining so hard there are cars pulled over to the side of the road waiting it out.... He said the lightning is amazing... still nothing here....

Re-reading the AF discussion from 6:46 PM almost makes me laugh...looks like they busted big on this event.

AND, the point forecast for my location still shows this:

Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 1am. Some of the storms could be severe. Mostly cloudy, with a low near 58. North wind between 5 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

So far in Baytown (East of Houston) just some sprinkles, and a good lightning show.

Interesting...looks like some new storms are popping now along the I-35 corridor between Austin and San Antonio heading east. Maybe we'll get some rain later tonight after all.

Some healthy looking storms have fired up WNW of Houston. This will probably become a large MCS overnight and roll through Louisiana tomorrow morning. Here's hoping for another soaking.
