I do not know the height. My level3 data is on my laptop. Maybe Crazy can tell us?

I wonder how accurate our sheer markers are. I would have expected 40kt shear at least based on what I was seeing. Maybe its distance from the radar? Maybe I'm just wrong? I dunno but 19kts seems low at least at the time I posted that pic.

A lot of local radio stations wont break in unless there's an immediate tornado warning.

When using radio stations, only go to news or news/talk stations. Others won't break unless absolutely necessary.

A broadcaster from Tulsa does this quite well, i think. They keep folks updated...

Looks like the storms have really fallen apart across Louisiana. I guess the cap is holding in south Louisiana.

Oklahoma is a bit different. People are so relaxed around here with reguards to weather that if you aren't beating them over the head with warnings they tend to go about their daily business.

Thats why people dont care, they're used to warnings that dont materialize and things like hail and winds to 60 or 70mph dont really do anything to people here. I like weather so I'm always paying attention but unless there's a tornado and sirens are going off or its being talked about on the radio people just generally dont care.

Oh my Avatar !

Now i understand, they don´t care. In Germay it´s different: People use to talk about the weather, because it happens nothin´ special, never... that´s weird.

It's just so common here that people dont pay attention. To give you an idea, Osage county has had 4 tornado warnings so far this year and I think only 1 was confirmed and it was an F0...granted the storms were all damn impressive and we got lucky on several occassions that things weren't worse, but it just goes to show why people are the way they are. Just about every county in the state will have multiple warnings issued in a year and yet most of the time no touchdowns. This is common, many many warnings result in no touchdowns, the difference is it happens all the time here.

Thats so bad over there ? Can imagine, peol don´t want do spend their leisure downstairs.

Hm, have you seen a strong Tornado, yet ? Tha´s what i´d liked to do.

Here in Hamburg City it´a little different - when flash is announced, everybody cares, because that is THE problem here.
